What We are Searching for:

  • A Proposal Writer that will be able to perform a variety of business writing and proposal management activities in support of Ce3′s ongoing business development efforts.
  • Manage all aspects of quotes, proposals and RFI development for assigned opportunities while adhering to company-wide proposal and pricing processes.
  • Review RFP/quote requests to ensure full understanding of client requirement.
  • Work with Operations, Finance, and other functional areas to coordinate budget and resource planning activities for client RFPs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, or science and a minimum of 7-10 years previous experience in clinical research/business writing
  • Knowledge in analyzing client requests and create clinical drug development proposal a big plus
  • Able to adapt to changing client specifications on proposals and refocus to client requirements

        I.            POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of Informatics is responsible for directing and overseeing the work of a cross-functional team of business analysts, report writers and database developers to ensure its work aligns with the business objectives of the company. The position is responsible for ensuring that the team meets current operational reporting needs as well as future development of business intelligence, self-service reporting, analytics and other capabilities as needed.

      II.            PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures.
  2. Works collaboratively with VP, Information Services & Technology to develop and implement Informatics strategy.
  3. Following approved roadmap, leads deployment of a comprehensive data management and reporting management platform.
  4. Proactively translates business strategies into concrete informatics programs. Demonstrates technical expertise, including an in-depth understanding of industry standards & trends for delivering innovative reporting and analytic solutions.
  5. Determines the strategic direction and day-to-day operations of the Informatics Department in order to meet the needs of users by directing the creation, scoping, planning, prioritizing and management of the division. Evaluates the use of technology and applications to determine priorities, allocate resources and establish project schedules to ensure their timely completion.
  6. Provides both strategic and tactical advice and recommendations in developing best practices for analysis, reporting, data warehousing, collaboration and business intelligence.
  7. Directs, coaches and manages the Informatics team as they conduct in-depth analysis such as user business cases, examination of complex data relationships, and application of technology to deliver solutions.
  8. Develops key process steps necessary for delivering reporting capabilities along with timelines.
  9. Assesses staff and talent needs to support division. Responsible for hiring, supervising and reviewing Informatics team members.
  10. Synchronizes report criteria across organization to maintain data integrity and accuracy.
  11. Provides decision support capabilities for ad hoc analytics and reporting in support of better decision making.
  12. Effectively guides and manages Informatics department to successful outcomes.

    III.            MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management Information Science, Computer Science, Economics, Finance or other quantitative field. Master’s degree or extensive experience in health care industry.
  2. Experience: 7-10 years of experience in medical or financial analysis with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  3. Skills & Abilities: Proven team building and managerial capabilities specifically with cross-functional team(s) of technical and non-technical professionals. Ability to operate independently and to a timeline. Strong organizational, analytical and project management skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Exposure to clinical data analysis and healthcare provider processes a significant plus. Solid knowledge and experience with relational database management, data warehousing and business intelligence. Thorough understanding of application development methodologies.
  4. Knowledge:  Familiarity in Microsoft SQL 2008/2012 (including t-sql, stored procedures, triggers, functions, SSIS, SSRS).  Knowledge of Team Foundation Services and/or other Project Management applications a plus.    Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services. SFTP. Strong MS Office skills required. Must be detail oriented and have a commitment to quality. Demonstrated success at building team relationships and partnerships across organizational lines. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects going on at the same time. Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services and SharePoint knowledge a plus.
  5. Certification: No certification necessary.

Today, a law legalizing homebrewing goes into effect in Mississippi, which was the last bastion of backwards brewing bans.  That makes today the first time since the end of Prohibition that you can brew your own beer anywhere in America without Johnny Law kicking over your brew kettle and putting the bracelets on you.

It’s all down hill for Alex. Sorry, but he is finished in baseball. No one wants him back, no one feels sorry for him and no one will think about this twice once it’s all behind us. Baseball will continue on and become stronger and better in the coming years. The pressure to perform as a Major League Athlete is probably more than anything I have ever experienced in my lifetime. These guys sacrifice so much to become the best at their position, in their sport. It’s unfortunate that this has happen to a great American sport, but it wouldn’t be American if there wasn’t a scandal involved some how. Just like the Corporate world, US Gov’t and even in our American homes, scandals and drama is what gets us up in the morning and turn on the news, read the paper, or have those opinionated conversations during lunch/dinner/happy hours. Go Sox!

I was once told a story about Alex Rodriguez, the specific details of which, unfortunately, I cannot share. It was told to me by a person who was party to the events which took place and had absolutely no reason to lie. I have 100% confidence that the story told to me was true.

The upshot was that Rodriguez engaged in Profoundly Aberrant Behavior X immediately after being told that Profoundly Aberrant Behavior X was something he TOTALLY should not do. No one was harmed, it was nothing that would cause a scandal if it came to light in the media.
